OUR STORY
The Journey that’s shaped our success
Xemplar’s journey began in early 2017 with work focused on motion patterns using smartphone sensors and GPS data. That work led to the first version of a smartphone telematics engine that could interpret driving behavior without dedicated hardware. After a successful market test with a small insurance company, the company launched in 2018 and expanded its capabilities to include policy and claim services as well as turnkey solutions for personal and commercial P&C insurers.

Since founding Xemplar Insights in 2017, SK has driven the creation of innovative software solutions focused on risk management and customer engagement. As the company’s leader, he guides R&D and product engineering teams to advance the Xemplar product portfolio, leveraging the latest technology. SK works closely with customers, prospects, and industry partners to solve pressing business challenges with cutting-edge solutions.
Kiran Abbaraju
CEO & Co-Founder
Kiran leads all aspects of delivery and support at Xemplar. He brings over 19 years of experience in Program Management and Quality Assurance, primarily with Insurance companies. He is responsible for product releases and customer implementations, using multi-shore delivery and support models.

With over 23 years of experience in the IT industry, Kiran Abbaraju has been leading large-scale delivery engagements across global teams with a strong focus on quality, customer satisfaction, and business value. He has successfully managed end-to-end delivery of multi-shore projects across domains such as E-Learning, Security, and Insurance, helping organizations build scalable and impactful digital solutions.
Over the years, Kiran Abbaraju has gained extensive experience in working with modern technology platforms including Java, .NET, and complex multi-tier architectures integrated with AWS Cloud. He has played a key role in delivering mobile applications, enterprise web portals, and AI-enabled solutions designed to improve user experience, operational efficiency, and business growth.
Known for his collaborative and people-focused leadership style, he has successfully built and managed large offshore delivery teams, creating a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning. He believes in maintaining strong client relationships through transparency, consistent delivery, and a deep understanding of customer needs. His ability to balance technology, execution, and customer expectations has helped organizations consistently deliver quality solutions while adapting to evolving business needs.
As Vice President – Delivery for Xemplar Kiran Abbaraju continues to drive delivery excellence by combining technology expertise, strategic planning, enabling digital transformation and building customer-centric solutions that create long-term value for clients and stakeholders.
